On June 23 –27, 2025, our Centre of Excellence team was represented at Europe’s largest remote sensing conference – the ESA Living Planet Symposium in Vienna.

Participants

Oleksandr Borysenko, Evelyn Uuemaa, Wai Tik Chan, and Alexander Kmoch presented the first version of the data cube being developed within our Centre of Excellence. This is a major step forward in data management and analysis. Iris Luik introduced her work on estimating grassland biomass using remote sensing and machine learning. It is a significant contribution to the monitoring of natural meadows. Emilie Susi gave an overview of identifying spring and winter crops using Sentinel-2 satellite images. A practical application for more precise agricultural monitoring!
